What's going on?
Lady Gaga Cancels Several Shows
Fans of Lady Gaga were sufficiently baffled by the lyrics to her song “Bad Romance”; now they’re trying to understand how she was able to make a Friday appearance on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” while canceling or postponing several concert dates. On Thursday evening Lady Gaga canceled a show she was to perform at Purdue Universityin West Lafayette, Ind., writing on her Twitter account that she “was feeling dizzy and having trouble breathing” before the show and that she was later given a diagnosis of exhaustion and dehydration by paramedics. On Friday she taped an appearance on Ms. Winfrey’s show, where she discussed her upbringing, her personal life and her fans (and told the host, “There’s Gandhi, and there’s Oprah”) and also performed her song “Monster.” But that was the only performance that Lady Gaga would give for the weekend. The Star-Ledger of Newark reported that she canceled a show scheduled for Saturday at the Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa in Atlantic City. The concert promoter Live Nation said on livenation.com that a Lady Gaga show scheduled for Sunday in Wallingford, Conn., was canceled, and the Mohegan Sun casino in Uncasville, Conn., said one planned for Monday was postponed. Lady Gaga is scheduled to begin a four-night stand at Radio City Music Hall in New York on Wednesday.

Lady GaGa Talks About The Dark Side Of Fame
On her debut album, Lady GaGa was in the hot pursuit of fame, hence why she titled it The Fame. It’s safe to say after selling millions of albums worldwide, an international tour, hit single after hit single, and paparazzi cameras following her every move that she’s found it. Unfortunately, GaGa has discovered fame isn’t always the glamorous skip in the park it appears to be on the outside looking in, so she decided to re-release her album and explore fame’s every facet. The Fame Monster heads to stores on November 24 with not one or two but eight new songs, including the set’s first single, “Bad Romance,” which reunites GaGa with her “Just Dance” collaborator RedOne. “I wrote about everything I didn’t write on ‘The Fame’,” GaGa said in a statement. “While traveling the world for two years, I’ve encountered several monsters, each represented by a different song on the new record: my ‘Fear of Sex Monster,’ my ‘Fear of Alcohol Monster,’ my ‘Fear of Love Monster,’ my ‘Fear of Death Monster,’ my ‘Fear of Loneliness Monster,’ etc.” GaGa says for the new songs, which boast production by Teddy Riley, Rodney Jerkins, Ron Fair and Fernando Garibay, she experimented with “industrial/Goth beats, 90’s dance melodies, an obsession with the lyrical genius of 80’s melancholic pop, and the runway.” Her favorite of them all is a heartfelt ballad written for her father entitled “Speechless.”

Lady Gaga's Monstrous Fame
This time last year Lady Gaga was only just taking off. Her catchy debut single 'Just Dance' topped the UK charts and she quickly made her way into the pop mainstream with the release of her album 'The Fame'. Lady Gaga's following three singles were deemed a phonemic success - hitting the top spot with 'Poker Face' in April, 'Love Game' in July and 'Paparazzi' in November'. In the course of a just one year, Lady Gaga has seemingly secured herself as the new Princess of Pop.
Dubbed one of the wackiest women in showbiz, 2009 was a year of publicity stunts for Gaga - who became instantly known for her outrageously skimpy outfits and platinum blond hair. Over the past 12 months, the ambitious singer quite literally took over the planet. Her songs constantly played on the radio and internet, her videos became YouTube hits, and her weird fashion sense was constantly displayed in the press. Gaga was churning out hit after hit, bringing with her an irresistible club-ready chorus of chanting "ra-ras" and "ooh-la-las" which crawled their way into our brains.
